After the gun is submitted (FFL or you), the board votes. They have 45 days to do this. It takes a couple of weeks after approval for that to get published in the MD Register, which is published twice a month. Depending on how close the Board meeting is to a publishing date it could take 3-4 weeks to get published. After it's published, it has to await a 30 day comment period. After that it is placed on the roster. It can be up to 3 months if things don't mesh correctly.

The publication dates are half way down the page. I just open the latest one in my PDF viewer and search for Maryland State Police to find the newest additions.

You can call Marlene Jenkins at the Roster Board to see if it's been submitted yet.

Excellent post, as mentioned expect anywhere from 90-120 days start to finish based on timing.
For example I bought a RIA in late August that was vaguely on roster and found out my FFL wouldn’t risk it, I just barely missed the deadline and had to wait for the following board review deadline in mid October
At this point with the holidays and all I am expected to take delivery first week of January :/

Also a good idea to email Smith&Wesson and see if they ever submit their own guns to MSP like Glock and Sig typically does

I think they are supposed to meet monthly, but nothing in the statute, except they must meet within 45 days after a submission, which appears to be the minimum. They seem to meet sporadicly at times.

If your submission occurs just after a meeting, you may have to wait up to 45 days for the Board to meet again. Then the entire process of publishing in the Register with a 30 day comment period begins again.

Could be up to 120 days if dates don't mesh.

Because lawyers along with others all need to be there at the same time, which I’m told can be a hurdle at times

They have to get a quorum of the members and that can be difficult because they’re all around the state and can’t always get to the same place at the same time.

    Is the board members paid?

Have anyone done any research to see what and how many guns have been "not approved"? is this more gov't waste that we can legislate out?

Let's hope so. Somehow I doubt it would be a natural high priority for them. Maryland probably has relatively low carry pistol sales volume.
