Anyone here carry one regularly? Likes/dislikes? Choice of carry ammo?

Giving one serious consideration for carry.

    Thanks!

I have one and carried it for awhile. I had truglo sights installed. I carried with ARX ammo, still have a couple of boxes. Soft shooter for a .45 and I liked it as a carry. I switched to a p365 as my edc, but not because I didn't like the Shield. It's a first generation. Shoot me a note if you might be interested as I'm not using it. Have holsters too, including shoulder.

I have and carry a shield 9 and a 45. Depends on how I feel about the slightly heavier .45. Both are great.

    Carry ammo for the 45?
If that is for me, I carry 185gn gold dots but I don't think it really matters. The need to use it is slim to none. 230 fmj is effective. Jmo

It’s a great carry gun. My only dislike is the thumb safety. It’s very stiff still on mine. I wish I would have got the version without the safety.

Anyone in Central MD that would let me shoot one? Any ranges that would have one to rent? I'm 80% convinced, but would like to try it before I buy.

The thumb safety is easy, leave it off. The only time it is on is when I'm handling it for whatever reason.
Never on when carried. Same as not having a safety.
