Shield "AMS" - what the hell were they thinking??

I LOVE my shield SMSC on the Hellcat, with it's unmatched low profile to allow co-witnessing of the factory irons.

I have been holding off buying any new reflex for other handguns,, as I was waiting to see if Shield would update the SMSC with a large "ring" reticle, and add manual AND auto brightness.

Well they did,, and what an abortion,,, who the hell let this out of the design teams lounge??

Looks trick to me…like the rifle Charlie rifle sights. I know it isn’t a mirror type sight…but looks okay.

The curve fits right into the sigmoid colon. The gun was made for 6 O’Clock carry. Studies show corn is no problem!!

The look doesn’t really bother me. Kind of reminds me of one of those old school bubble diving helmets. I just hope it is not made in China. I have in my head that they are U.K. based. Anyway hopefully it works well.

I am more than disappointed, The thing that I love about my Shield SMSC is the low profile of the base AND the notch in the base to allow 100% co-witness with most any factory irons. But I hate the single "dot" I really want the option for a larger ring and a dot. And would prefer an option to switch between manual and auto brightness.

The AMS sight has a thicker base, no co-witness notch AND a FRIGGIN peep sight !!!!
