Years ago, I inherited a Shiloh Sharps Model 1874 in .45-70. It’s an insanely beautiful rifle that appears unfired, but the rifle does not appear to have a reticle in the front sight, it’s just an open hole (it has a rear peep sight). Is there a ‘best reticle’ I should install if I do want to try my hand at shooting it?
I also have toyed with the idea of parting with the rifle, so would it even be worth it in the even the prospective new owner wants to install a sight that they like?
(Yes, I know…pics coming soon…)
