Shooting Bag/Gun Rest

Okay, so I have to admit that I am relatively new to the going to the range and shooting off a bench thing. I've always just kneeled, or laid prone, or whatever else on our farm land.

I am looking for a Bag or Rest for the bench, and need some opinions. I looked at amazon and found these:

I use a Caldwell lead sled and it totally removes the recoil and provides a rock solid still rest. I just use sand bags at the range when I am shooting for fun.

I use a lead sled for sighting in. But the lead filled bags mean I don't transport it. Try a "Rock" from Caldwell. I use it as a front rest for rifles, and also a pistol rest for when I'm trying new loads.

I replace the bag that came with the rock with one made from leather:
