I got my first suppressor after a 10 month wait. Took it to the range yesterday and was amazed at how quiet it made things. The first round was CCI quiet out of a GSG 1911-22. After I pulled the trigger I wondered for a second if it had even fired! Amazingly quiet. It did not cycle the action completely though. The empty shell stove piped. Every round in that magazine did the same thing. I swapped the suppressor to my Beretta M9-22 and had the same results. I'll save the CCI quiet for my bolt gun. It worked fine in that. I switched over to CCI standard velocity next and that also was very quiet and cycled the action in both pistols. Only a bit louder than the quiet ammo. No hearing protection needed with either. Only other issue was the front sight on the Beretta was not tall enough to see over the can. GSG was tall enough and worked great. Also tried some golden bullets and they were also very quiet with this can. I'm using a Rugged Mustang 22 can.
I tried the rifles next. First up was the Ruger American Rimfire. Unbelievably quiet with CCI quiet and almost as quiet with std. velocity. Shot low left at 50 yds though. Next up was the Ruger 10/22 takedown. I didn't try the CCI quiet in that one, just std. velocity. Very quiet and cycled perfectly. I'm still amazed at what these suppressors can do. You'd think the government would try to make suppressors mandatory instead of trying to make them so hard to obtain.

In Western Europe, if you are licensed/allowed to own a rifle, you are entitled top buy a suppressor. You don't have to get permission even, it's already been granted if you own the rifle.

.22 cans are the best. I’ve probably put about 20,000 rounds through mine. Gotta send it to Ecco machine for a recore.

CCI quiet (710 FPS) will not cycle anything. Use either 1050/1070 standard velocity and it will be quiet and operate.

The opinion of the government, was formed by Hollywood. You like it now but wait till you shoot some 300 BO subs.

I put less than 100 rounds through it but took it apart and cleaned it when I got home. It was pretty dirty just from those few rounds.

However, CCI Quiet Semi-Auto 835fps cycles both my Ruger 22/45 and 10/22 with a can on. Problem is finding it in stock. Also, barely a difference between STD VEL which can be found at any WalMart and than some.

22LR is dirty ammo. That's one reason I would NEVER shoot it though a non-serviceable can like my 30 cal can. The non-serviceable cans assume to be self-cleaning; i.e. the blast is supposed to knock of the residue. In the case of 22LR, that doesn't happen and you have to clean it. This Simple Green aircraft cleaner works well.

I had so much fun Saturday with the Mustang that I went back to the range today. No one else there so no hearing protection needed. Fun popping clays at 25 yds with the GSG 1911. RAR and Takedown at 75 yds. A little breezy so not especially good groups but still fun experimenting with different ammo. I got my target camera working again so I'm a happy guy these days.

Has anyone else tried the weld antisplatter in your can? I find this application intriguing.

I run two 22 cans both are aluminum baffle/titanium tube designs. I use anti splatter to help and regular cleaning is needed. One is on a bolt action rifle and it is hollywood quiet with cci quiets, but I normally run cci suppressor because they are far more accurate of late from what I've seen.

The other is a 15-22 and I normally just run std velocity in it suppressed, but the semi-auto or suppressor (similar velocities) will run it fine as well. It's not as quiet, as it's a semi, but it sure is fun to shoot.
