I have a P320 from before the trigger issue was found. Will the FCU from that pistol still work in the newest modules?

My understanding is that they made changes to the slides as part of that recall. So you may find that there's compatibility issues without doing the fix. For safety and liability reasons, I strongly recommend doing the fix...
