Picked up my new P322 on Wednesday. After a thorough cleaning I took it to the range yesterday and put 300 rounds through it. 100 each of CCI AR Tactical, CCI Mini Mag 36 grain HP and Federal Automatch. First mag filled with 20 rounds of AR had a stove pipe on the last round. Other mag functioned flawlessly. Then same mag as the first stove pipe did it again on the last round. Figured the mag was defective. Kept shooting and the thing functioned flawlessly through the rest of the 300 rounds. Love the P322 as a plinker or as a trainer. Only 2 cons are if you slam a mag home the slide releases the other is the rear sight has no audible clicks or detents on the elevation adjustment. Overall not quite as accurate as my Ruger MKIII target but is a ton of fun to shoot with 20 round mag dumps. It shot the best groups with the Federal Automatch. Trigger is lite and breaks clean, just has a bit of take up before it hits the wall. Actually had a few unintentional double taps. Definitely need to shoot it more to get used to it.

I bought a P322 on a whim. Cool pistol, and I was surprised to see it does seem to use an FCU (albeit probably not designed to be easily removable due to those roll pins). The trigger is very light, like 3lbs... I ordered the ArmoryCraft trigger so I could try to reduce the pre/post-travel. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, maybe Sunday. Came with 10s, but I have a line on some 20s. I don't know if anyone else has disassembled the mags, but the construction is very clever. Feels like it shouldn't work, but it does...

I've taken my P322 out to a couple range sessions now, and I gotta say, I'm sort of in love. No failures after the first magazine, and it is a rock star with CCI SV. Configuration is factory plus the AC trigger and a Holosun 407K-GR. Might shoot it at Falling Steel once I have a holster and pouches for it.

What would make this thing amazing is pushing the weight to 30-35oz. 17oz is just too flippy for me, even with 22 recoil. I might throw a light on the front just to see if I can get it to level out a bit.

I’m thinking about getting one. For those of that actually have a 322, do you recommend it?? I’m concerned about reliability but my 22/45 is not 100% either since we are talking .22.

I have a P322 as does my son. We really like them. Have shot a couple different types of ammo, so far no issues. We stuck a suppressor on it and it worked quite well. We happened to be in NH and went to the Sig Exp Center, grabbed some 20 round mags, they work quite well too. It uses a Romeo Zero red dot. I don`t hesitate in recommending the P322 and I`m sure he agrees.

    Recommend 100%

Have about 2000 rds through mine. 2 fail to fire which were legit dud rounds (didn't fire in my buddy's Smith 617 either)

I've put CCI stingers, CCI mini mags, CCI SVs, Winchester PowerPoints, American Eagle AE22 and federal automatch through mine. Worked 100%

Will not cycle (but will fire) CCI subs and quiets

Not as accurate (not even close) as my long barrel mk3, but accurate enough for what it is.

I saw that Sig finally released the 25rd magazines. I think a couple of those (purchased out of state) may be in my future.

Does this little Sig share commonality with any other Sig side in size and holster?
From I gather, it's similar in size to a p365 but the p322 requires it's own specific holster. Check SIG's web site for the holster.

Nope. I have a P320 and a P365, and my P322 isn't very similar to either. It was a very weird design fail by the Sig team. Hopefully a hypothetical P322 Legion will be smarter about this.

Took my P322 out to the range the other day for some reliability testing, and it was a superstar (finally cleared dot torture!). Couple hundred rounds of CCI SV and Fed Automatch with only a single stoppage (badly primed CCI SV cartridge that didn't go off on a second trip through the gun). I was careful about loading the mags properly, and I also put some Slip 2000 on the rails before I went out.

The 20rd mags can fit like 24rds in them, incidentally. You have to push them in a little harder, but there are no obvious function issues. I probably wouldn't load past 20 for a match, but for practice, the option is nice. I need to buy some 25rd mags out of state or something.

TBH, this gun would be perfect if they released an X5-styled version that weighed like 8oz more. 17oz is just a little snappier than I prefer for action shooting, even with 22lr. The ArmoryCraft trigger is a real game changer, and it is easy to work the trigger really fast with it.

Ran my P322 at Falling Steel today, and it performed quite nicely, despite the freezing temperatures. No failures, even when I overstuffed the magazines so I could shoot through some of the stages without reloads, and accuracy was exactly what it needed to be to hit even the small steel without issue. I staged it using a GLS holster and a HSGI taco belt pouch... not great, but it did the job.

I still think a Legion version that weighed 25oz would be the perfect pistol in this vein.

Given how well the P322 has sold, you'd think it's just a matter of time. My perfect P322 would have:
    1. 5" barrel
    2. Fixed optic mount ala the TX-22 Competition model.
    3. Lightened slide
    4. X5-style grip made of the TXG material or aluminum that brought weight to 25-30oz.
    5. 30rd extendos :)

The base gun is just too flippy due to the low weight of the grip. Even just swapping the grip material to aluminum or tungsten polymer would probably be enough.

I have been to the range 2x with my new P322 and here are my comments:
-I tried several brands of ammo and so far Blazer works best, even better than Mini Mags.
-It’s not that accurate. Not horrible but not a tack driver at 15 yards.
-Loading the mags correctly is key to reliable function.
-Feels good in the hand, very light.
    -Thinking about getting the RomeoOne.
