I have a standard P365. I am purchasing a Brownells slide with an optic and sight cuts. I am planning to mount a Holosun 407K sight to it. I also want to mount sights on it and there is where my question originates.

Do I just buy a set of sights for "the P365" and hope they don't interfere with my dot sighting? Should I buy shorter sights to keep from having interference? ( I do have the Sig sight spec chart for Sig slides so I can interpolate if the Brownell sight cuts are not the same depth as the OEM.

    TIA

Helped me with iron sights for my Glock 43X that I had milled for a Holosun 507k

Typically one would be best off having the use of both the irons and the red dot. I use taller sights in some cases, like suppressor height sights to be sure I can see them over the base of the holosun. I have two Holosun 407C's and I am able to use the tall suppressor sights to see a clear co-witness with the irons.

Are the optic and sight cut separate on that slide? Typically, even with tall sights, the co-witness is the lower 1/3 and there is not any interference with your red dot. You can actually benefit from using the sights to find the red dot if this is your first pistol mounted red dot like this.

The red dot base will occupy some of your normal 'sight window' and some short sights will be useless as the red dot base will hide the front sight from view. It does stick up farther than the blank plate that they mount in the spot where the red dot mounts.

Here is a G19 slide with a Holosun 407C and suppressor height sights.. they are tall! The co-witness is just about the lower 1/3 of the red dot, so if I use the sights, the red dot is just above them and visible. It's hard to get a decent pic, this is a 6moa circle red dot.

Thanks for taking the trouble. My sight is also six MOA so your picture was worth a thousand words.
