Started out with the savage 50cal ml2. It liked vv n120, harvester sabots and barnes originals.
2 years ago I switch over to encore 45 cal build.
MGM 45/70 barrel w/ muzzle brake, machined for a savage breech plug.
Stainless encore w/ bellm trigger, with a leupold 4-12 firedot (great hunting scope), right now I'm using 55gr imr 4198, harvester 45cal sabots, and hornady sst pills.
Just bought some vegi wads and a few tester packs of the Parker ballistic extreme 250, 275, and 300gr bullets. Hope to go sabotless before late season.
