I've never once experienced hammer bite on anything - I don't have beefy hands though.
Apparently EAA has taken over importation of the Turkish HP clones.

EAA took Springfield's image and just slapped the EAA logo on it. That's hardly "butthurt." If EAA had recreated the shot from scratch with their own tech, etc, Springfield wouldn't really have a leg to stand on. But EAA just 'shopped their logo on a photo they have no rights to. The complaint about "creates confusion" is spot on.Springfield is butthurt about an EAA social media image and is suing.

If EAA did not import Tanfoglios ID say **** them both.
One point of order... Wasn't the CZ75 supposed to be a modern version of the Hi-Power? If so, what the target market for this gun?

If Ford took an image of a Chevy Suburban and slapped the blue oval over the bowtie and used that in Ford's advertising, would you also consider that "butthurt" if Chevy complained?

It is not a modern Hi Power. Advances made in the design of the Hi Power were used in the CZ 75 but it is in no way a copy.
The CZ slide rides inside the frame which is a big enough difference to know these are different pistols
They look a lot like one another and fit your hand about the same. I think this is the major reason why people think the CZ is a copy.
And the more Springfield whines about it the more people find out about the EAA product. That's how I found out about it.
Tisas makes a mighty fine 1911.... it sports a forged frame, slide and barrel and gets excellent reviews. If they make a High Power to the same standards as the 1911 offerings and in the $400.00-$500.00 range (hopefully .45 and 9MM) then wow.
I'm still biding my time on the new Colt Python and Anacondas. I've blown my Python budget on a couple of other things due to frustration with the prices, sometimes being as much as $800 over MSRP.Just like the reintroduced Colt Python and Anaconda...just like whenever a new generation Corvette is introduced and probably many other in demand consumer products. In an auction the buyer sets the selling price.
