I apologize for hurting your feelings!
I’m curious, does a five inch can improve muzzle velocity and/or dwell time when mounted on an 11.5” barrel?
The very little I've tested, almost nothing. I've got an element 2, on my 16.5" 10/22 I see up to a 10fps average gain on supersonic ammo. With my Omega 300 can, on a .308 18" AR-10 and 20" Howa 6.5 Grendel I am seeing about 13 and 9fps respectively. Tested with 5 rounds unsuppressed and than 5 rounds suppressed. I didn't bother doing more testing than that. You will get a slight increase I have heard 10-15FPS and as high as 25FPS.
third point down.
That is Gemtech saying it so YMMV with others but I pretty sure most suppressors if not all give a slight bump.
Yup. Every single test I’ve done on every platform I’ve tried, except pistols, accuracy is a solid 10-20% tighter grouping with a can on.The old wives tails were always "...will slow velocity..." and "...have a negative affect on accuracy...".
Both are completely false and the opposite is true. They do increase velocity, though not noticeably, and they tend to add a degree of accuracy as well as help dampen recoil.
I have seen dramatic accuracy differences in my 300 BO supers using a Griffin Paladin 300 can, at least at short range (50 yards). I haven't shot them at 100 due to the 6 MOA red dot sights I have on them. The old wives tails were always "...will slow velocity..." and "...have a negative affect on accuracy...".

Good or bad?I have seen dramatic accuracy differences in my 300 BO supers using a Griffin Paladin 300 can, at least at short range (50 yards). I haven't shot them at 100 due to the 6 MOA red dot sights I have on them.
Better. It tightened up the groups by about a 1/2 inch.Good or bad?
Nice! Any POI shift?Better. It tightened up the groups by about a 1/2 inch.
No. I did originally post that I had a POI shift with subs but I found out that I had about 20 rounds that were loaded for test OAL's and they accidentally got mixed in with my standard loads. The shorter OAL did give me a POI shift interestingly enough.Nice! Any POI shift?
