-Wasn't looking for this one, I just fell into my lap while cruising the 'net during lunch at work last week. This Schmidt Rubin K11 was converted to .22lr for small bore match shooting and then exported some time in the last 10 yrs. Sadly it has the ATF billboard import marks of PW Arms placed prominently on the receiver. But that wasn't going to stop me from warping the credit card as I've never seen one of these offered for sale here in the US. Ran across on listed on a French dealer's site for 1100 Euros which is $1500 USD. In much nicer condition than mine but I didn't pay close to $1500 either.
-These are very uncommon in Europe and the US. What you usually find are K31s, 1889s converted to look like K11s (a la Metford range rifles) and M1911 long rifles converted to .22lr. Originally built in 1920, mine had the barrel lined and the bolt modified rather than a new .22lr barrel installed. It has a SLED that replaced the original 7.5 magazine follower.
-Bore was dirty when I got it but it quickly swiped mirror clean with just a dozen passes of a brush and Kroil. If I can get my mitts on a decent adjustable Swiss sight this ought to be a tack driver for me. Time to start cruising EGun and the Swiss sites!

Here's a neat accessory that you don't see often. A Swiss military front sight adjuster for the K31 and K11 Karbines. Was smart enough to snap one of these up when Sarco was selling them about 20 yrs ago. Damed difficult to find these days and a whole lot more coin.

Very nice, I missed picking up a K11 in .22lr last week as well. At least one of us got one!

Perhaps we were both going after the same rifle? This one came to me by way of Dan T. at Dan's Sporting Goods back home in Western PA.
