Terra Alta trip. Public ranges nearby?

Heading to Terra Alta (just west of Oakland, MD) in a few months to visit family. Are there any nearby public ranges? Online searches are not too helpful.

Only public range I know of out close to Oakland is Savage Off of New Germany Road, probably 15 miles from Oakland on the way there from I-68

I put in my zip code +60 miles and it brings up, from what I can tell, members only private ranges. No mention of Savage river or Green Ridge public ranges.

Haha, good call. It shows some non-member places but obviously not all of them. I use "Where To Shoot" and I could have sworn I saw both those in it. But looking through, they aren't.

So I went through my apps and the Maryland DNR app shows shooting ranges as well. That one does show Savage and Green Ridge.

I don't know of much out that way... Most people around there probably just shoot in their back yard.
