Cuccinelli was unelectable. I voted for him but I never expected him to win. Had he avoided the sodomy law bull crap he would have been fine but alas....

With 99 percent of the vote in, McAuliffe had 47.5 percent of the vote, Cuccinelli 45.9. Libertarian Robert Sarvis had 6.6. In the raw vote, McAuliffe had 1,027,453; Cuccinelli 991,562; and Sarvis 142,818.

McAulife also had 34 million to Cuccinelli's 20 million. Looks like the other republican trashed this one too. :sad20:

Can we please stop with this discredited talking point? Sarvis was a fake Libertarian (what "libertarian" supports a 'miles driven' tax which requires putting a GPS in every car in the Commonwealth?) that was actually a liberal, and pulled more 'liberal' votes than 'conservative' - Sarvis votes' second choice were overwhelmingly McA, by a 2-1 margin.

VCDL doesn't need any advice from this side of the river, trust me. They wrote the book on state level activism.

    Yep,

You want to see an effective state lobbying organization go to Richmond on January 20th for vcdl lobby day. Several thousand people carrying guns and orange guns save lives stickers roaming the halls of the state capital.

Capital police set up an express entry line for people with a CHP.

Too bad several thousand more people couldnt have been bothered to vote. Like 2 million votes total out of a state population of 8 million.

I'll agree with others, VA deserves who wins the votes.

And here is his first deliverable in his "new era of liberal policy. "

    WashingtonTimes.com -
Virginia Gov. McAuliffe rerouted funds for inaugural
VA legislature had previously banned uses for politics

“Color me surprised that Terry McAuliffe is involved with what looks like a highly questionable decision involving money and politics,” said Garren Shipley, a spokesman for the Republican Party of Virginia. “Whether it’s renting out the Lincoln Bedroom, cashing in on Global Crossing as the company tanked, or investing in a program state officials worried was a visa-for-sale scheme, Terry McAuliffe continues to give Virginians every reason to be skeptical of his actions.”

My question is ... where did all of that money come from ? Supposedly he outspent McDonald, so how did he give $211,000 from his inaugural fund back to his election campaign and the Virginia Democratic Party as disclosure records show ?
