Trust me, I am not stressing over this. I am more interested in the Annapolis mayors race. I just dont like people lying about something and then trying to deflect attention.

Personally I think Polymer80 has a lot of growing pains to go through (running a business) however I do not think he was lying, I simply think he did not know how to respond to the situation. I think his character is right and the effort that they called people is  , however like I said I think they have a lot of growing pains to go through. Time is a great teacher though.

How am I lying exactly? ?? No one to help me... do what??? Make a torture test video? Its 0230 Saturday morning. . Just got back from the shop prepping orders Cerakoting lowers and laser engraving lowers for those who PAID I.E NOT YOU. You see when you have integrity you do what you say you will do and when you can't you admit it. People paid for these products and services and I am working my ass off to see that they get it ASAP. So no... I don't have time to unwad your panties with apparently the only thing that would not make me a lyer... a freakin test video. .. nevermind the actual product.

what exactly am I supposed to be doing in your obviously expert opinion.

Should I hire someone? With whst budget? How big should my budget be?

The demand for such a video is extremely low. You are familiar with the concept of priorities right??

I am not a lyer. I am late... too late for many in MD. I was slower than I wanted to be or thought I would ever be bringing this to market.

I did everything I could to give everyone options and paid EVERYONE that wanted a refund promptly. I have a lot of faults and am far frim perfect. A lyer I am not.

And because I don't have test videos, I am dishonest? You have a weird way to assess people's integrity. I own my mistakes and basically everyone here is confused about what exactly you are driving at and how you draw your conclusions.

The ONE thing I have been this WHOLE time is honest.

All of this is exactly right... Thank you.

Believe me I will be happy when I post the test video link

I just met with the producer of the how to video last night looks like next weekend we will be getting some footage of shooting and beating the hell out them.

In September I got a phone call from David the P80 rep. He offered me the options available. As Loran said the AR launch had a rocky start. It's a brand new company with a brand new product. I'm still on board with P80.

I for one can not wait until the arrival of my paperweight, not happy that I'm not posting about playing with them right now... but as far as I am concerned, P80 has done what he said he was going to do.

I am anxiously awaiting the 308 and the 1911's as well. hope to be a repeat customer for him.

Just received mine in the mail. This thing looks stout. The real winner to me is the jig. Fits very tightly around the lower and should make the milling process a breeze. Im going to put mine away and wait for the test case to show its self in MD. Cant wait to see some of our non MD members assemble some. Nice job Poly80.

Yet no one can do anything to help you. Again mis-leading people.
    Um, butthurt much, Matlack?

Now, for a real tech question:

The video shows the lower being milled out using a drill press and X-Y table. I thought it was bandied about earlier that with this super-duper fancy-schmancy jig, a person would be able to mill it out using a hand drill. Truth, or no?

The build video looks good. Nice job.

A drill press isn't required, but it would make the job go faster. An x-y table isn't required either. If you have a drill press, you can just move the jig, and re-clamp for every hole. You'll probably have to do more cleanup with the Dremel tool this way.

There's a depth stop included with the endmill. If you're careful, a hand drill could do the work. I'd clamp it down before drilling.

I agree that a drill press and table are not required. If you already have a lower receiver, you can look at it and see the trigger/sear/hammer recess that needs to be cleaned out. More critical is drilling the holes. Make sure you drill halfway from each side and don't try to drill all the way through.

Another thing to keep in mind is the speed and tool type on the Dremel. You don't want high speed or too fine a cutter as this will melt the polymer and make a mess. Dremel makes 1/8" drive router bits that work fine with polymers and plastic.

The ONE thing I have been this WHOLE time is honest.

Here is the thing that gets me. I ask actual questions and you ignore them. I point out your discrepancies and you ignore them. As i said before I couldnt honestly care, other than the fact that you are lying to people and are perpetrating shady business practices. The quickest way to tell when someone is caught in a lie is that they deflect, accuse, and resort to vulgarity. You are deflecting, accusing me, and resorting to vulgarity. You are dishonest because of all the misleading information you portrayed throughout this whole process, even now.

So the for the 3rd time I have asked this question, that you probably still wont answer and will deflect onto something else:

What "nations best polymer companies" did you use to test your polymer? The same ones that apparently the Chinese company used to make all your lowers that are "made in america"?

Also if you want to actually prove that your lowers are suitable, try using non-destructive and destructive testing. This is how real companies prove that their products are what they claim. For a polymer product of your size it will cost about 7 grand for the testing and report. A video of some random person beating on it or shooting it doesnt prove anything. If you do a search you will find a military specification that will tell you everything you need to know about how to test your product. If not the test facility will be able to help you. But you obviously know what you are doing so Im sure you already knew this. And if you had companies test your polymer you would have something to show us. And I actually know what I am talking about as I have designed products, developed test plans, and performed testing on various materials, including polymers, and I have dealt w/ BS companies like yours and the ones you used in China that make ridiculous claims. This is the last of my free advice. You actually want someone who knows what needs to be done and how to do it? That will cost you.

One last thing. Again, since you apparently didnt read anything I actually posted, this is your 2nd business that I am aware of. Why are you not using common employees to complete basic tasks? You claimed you had the video and were just waiting to post it, could no one else that works for you post it? And what, are you the one running the injection molder or are all the lowers coming from China? Again non of the claims you have stated make any sense, hence the whole, " you are mis-leading or lying to everyone."

I will reiterate myself one last time. You have lied and been caught lying multiple times. You tout yourself of being so honest and to have impeccable integrity, but you wont answer serious questions about your product. Your quick to throw out accusations rather than listen to what (previous) customers have to say. I am trying to provide information to those interested. I said it before and I will say it one last time, I hope your product does what you claim and I hope those who waited got what they wanted.

And just in case you missed my question before or some how forgot:

What "nations best polymer companies" did you use to test your polymer?

Good luck, god bless, and GFY.

PS its LIAR not LYER genius.

After typing my previous post, yes it does.

And I have asked that very same question, oddly enough with no answer. Hmmm.

At this point, one has to wonder what financial stake Matlack has to gain in P80's failure. That's the only reason that could possibly explain the sheer number of words he expels trying to discredit a company that is shipping exactly what they said they would and a company who has ripped off no one.

That, or this is the internet were all sanity is checked at the door.

I think it all depends on what you call ripping someone off. I have 0 gain, seriously though what financial gain could someone possibly make from this?

Outside of everything else that I have stated, I just dont like BS. He ignores actual questions and throws more BS to explain away the serious questions. Ive done my best and if you are content with what he says good for you, you are free to make your own decisions. Im pretty sure most people here have already. Personally i am done with this thread, he wont answer questions.

The Way I see it, If you are in Maryland, looking to build an AR or anything from that platform. Your bests bets are Polymer 80 or any company selling 80% Lowers. You have every right to complain but ask your self "In the State of Maryland, who now has Laws where such Firearms are now illegal to purchase, should I be complaining about Polymer 80 and or any company with similar products?"

Either state your feelings/thoughts/opinions and move one, or keep it quiet. With that being stated. Lets continue on.

What "nations best polymer companies" did you use to test your polymer? The same ones that apparently the Chinese company used to make all your lowers that are "made in america"?

    http://www.nexeosolutions.com/

These guys are top-notch and really have some innovative ideas and products.
In the very near future we will be working VERY closely with them on some really serious testing for our 1911 product.

    http://www.pbiproducts.com/polymers/products/celazole-t-series
We were working with these guys as well. They make some SUPER tough polymers but it looks like they may not be suited for us.. but they sure did teach us a lot of very important things about polymers.

I actually have the military specs and plan on using them and look at your last line.... I KNOW that it will cost me... its what I have been trying to tell you and I want to do it right and IT WILL COST ME... TIME AND MONEY. And no... you don't know what you are talking about.. did you film and publish EVERY SINGLE test you have done, especially in the very beginning. Oh, and did you do it with a company that started out as just a couple of guys with an idea??? No... If you actually knew what you were talking about you would not say such base, ignorant things.

One last thing. Again, since you apparently didnt read anything I actually posted, this is your 2nd business that I am aware of. Why are you not using common employees to complete basic tasks? Again non of the claims you have stated make any sense, hence the whole, " you are mis-leading or lying to everyone."

I have only 2 "common employees" and one right now is running the drill press 10 hours a day doing post-production drilling, the other is packaging up the drill bit sets, parts kits, stickers and folding instruction sheets then stuffing shipping packages with all of those things.

I am coating lowers, working the laser etcher, helping finish and wash each unit, and putting completed packages in mail containers to ship them. I still have about 600 more back orders to fill. And none of us are film producers like the company we hired to make the video that everyone actually needed, the how-to video.

I NEVER said I was running an injection mold. I was honest about China, (we are NO LONGER producing from there BTW, we make them in Sacramento, CA)

You have yet show any evidence of YOUR claims, yet I continue to ship about 200 units a day to very patient and happy customers. So.... someone is lying here... and its not me.

And just in case you missed my question before or some how forgot:
