Over the weekend I had to take one of my cats to be re-homed as a barn cat. We've had her more than 5 years and she has refused to be litter box trained in that time, no matter what we have tried. My buddy and I chatted for an hour or so, and then hung out around the backside of his barn just shooting 22s into his berm with a little metal 22 target.

First time I've ever been shooting that wasn't at a range, trap, or hunting. Just the freedom. Intoxicating. Felt like how people are supposed to exist.

It certainly enhanced for me that I need a big place of my own someday that I can setup my own range. Mild to wild, whatever.

Did that after breakfast almost every morning with my 308 on the family farm down in NC.

    Your right it’s so liberating.

Freedom is good, Liberty is free. I’m not giving it up.

Also as it turns out I am pretty good with my buckmark. I was hitting the 1" steel spinner at 25yds somewhat regularly, the 2" more than half the time, and the 3" almost every time. Heck, I was scoring about as well as my buddy while he was shooting with his 10/22 with irons and I was shooting my buckmark with irons.
