    OK. The Ebay route worked. I found a nice condition older 870 30" VR full choke barrel (as opposed to the newer matt finish Express model barrels). Now I can start shooting some trap and take my time to find a used Beretta. Thanks again folks.

    Try a Beretta and a Browning. In my experience, the fit is different. And you will pick up one or the other and say, "wow, this feels great." Those who shoot Brownings don't care for Berettas and vice versa.
    This also applies to the higher end guns. For me, a Krieghoff didn't feel right, whereas when i picked up a Guerini it was like putting on an old shoe.
