There were some seriously fun stages there. The big field course had targets from 3 to 40 yds and the one with the cup of water was a hoot.

The one with the Disney teacup certainly was an interesting stage. Even the stage with the 50yd + shot was a good time. What squad were you on btw?

Maryland Practical Shooters' Association is the organization that runs the USPSA matches at Thurmont.

It looks like they generally shoot the last Sunday of the month. BTW a new shooter safety course is required.

I was there for set up and shot with the set up crew. The far target on the stage was 40 yds from the start line and 36 from the end of the shooting box. Clamping you're hand over the top of the cup was the secret to avoid spillage....

Sorry I could not be there for that one but I shot the one at SP on Saturday, PM squad so did not think my knees were up to another one so fast. Maybe next month. Just so you know the SP Multigun match for this weekend has been cancelled because the MD has to go out of town.

Thanks for the links, I looked them over last night. My son and i are going to come out for the next match to watch and get a good understanding on how the matches are run

I'll have to look into that... I'd like to shoot more USPSA... The IDPA rules and "tactics" are getting old LOL
