Tom Wolf attends BEYOND Resistance conference at the luxury La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
He was hanging out with Nancy Pelosi and George Soros at the Democracy Alliance’s Fall Investment Conference. A conference the Democracy Alliance describes as “a safe place for progressive funders and movement leaders to meet and discuss issues of common interest, develop relationships through dialogue and networking, and engage in conversations about progressive ideas and strategies”.
Headlining the Thursday afternoon program titled Winning in the States – Girding up for 2018, Wolf’s panel description read “The Democracy Alliance’s 2020 Vision has articulated the need to build permanent progressive power in states. Given the erosion of electoral power progressives have seen over the last several cycles, the restrictions on civic engagement and voting enacted on the right, and the differences in organizational capacity and demographics in each state, how are seasoned organizers in states now viewing the path to build permanent progressive power?”
