I used to have a VZ2008. Sold it and bought a VZ58. 140 flawless rounds later, I was grinning from side to side. No problem of any kind, except for my red dot falling off. I turned out I didn't fully tighten the mount to the side rail. No damage done, at least I didn't see any.

It's still heats up. I started wearing a glove on my left hand once I got over 100 rounds.

I installed a heat shield that fits inside the handguard that I found on ebay a coupla years back and it greatly reduces the heat build-up. I no longer have to wear a glove, even after several mags.

Cool............. Now you just need to get one in 5.56 to go with it.

Cant beat the VZ58, they pricing looks good now that VZ2008's are pushing $700ish.

Are they really? I was Donna pick up a couple more from PSA when they were $400 with 3 mags.

I bought one back when they were that price with 5 mags, bayo etc. That made sense.

Now with VZ58s round $1050 and VZ2008s around $700 take the higher quality gun.

That's the reasoning I used last week.
