I have a surplus of some rifle and pistol brass that no one seams interested in here. So I am thinking about trading it in to Capital Cartridge or a similar company. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience doing this? Good or bad?
Never done it, but I imagine that shipping costs will eat a good amount of potential profit. Maybe contact local gun ranges and see what companies are local to buy it.
Yeah shipping would take a bite out of the value for sure. Capital offers $1.40/lb credit and that rate hasn't changed in a long time.
Then I'm weary about the quality and safety of the fired casings you get back as you never know what kind of loads or how many times they have been fired.
As much as I hate to say it it's easier and more profitable to scrap them and get money that you can spend wherever you want, not just on the purchasers website.
