Went to Downs Park early this afternoon. Just past the grocery store, saw group of young people standing around a utility pole. Skid marks on the road. Now, we know.

19 and 18 year old died in the collision, 15 year old critical, 23 year old injured. Head on between Ford Focus and Jeep.

Happened about 1:30 a.m. I tell my wife if she isn't going to get home by midnight, stay put till morning. All the batshirt crazy accidents happen after midnight.

Starting to sound like a mechanical failure, possibly involving the loss of a wheel.

This would explain the strange skid pattern we saw when we went by on the way back.

Of course, that wouldn't rule out any number of reasons for the darting across the line, into the westbound lane.

My employees step daughter knows the girl, he said earlier they were fighting BF & GF not sure if someone grabbed the wheel. Weird circumstances for sure. I pray for all .
He said the boy in critical condition has a crushed skull
