UC Biology Prof. goes on anti 2A rant

This is during a BIOLOGY class.

Cliff notes:
-Guns are bad
-My relative is crazy for carrying a 1911 and knife everywhere
-NRA is bad
-2nd Amendment is outdated
-YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE NRA and 2nd Amendment

If you're going to be against something, at least educate yourself about that subject.

If the comments at YouTube are accurate, he's a lecturer (not a professor) at UC-Irvine. He's the smug type that might think he's bright enough to succeed in the tenure track, but his productivity, even at UC-Irvine, isn't near enough. Most students wouldn't know the difference between a lecturer and a professor of course, and spending 5 minutes to advocate a political position in a biology class is incredibly arrogant (and lazy - he should be teaching the course). Imagine the outcry if he did the same criticizing our weak border control and sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants.

I had a History professor once who would wander in 15 minutes late, spend ten minutes lighting his pipe, then ramble on for 1/2 hour about how you can't buy a decent pipe in America...he buys all his pipes in Paris... we should all spend as much time in Paris as possible...He's writing a book in French because nothing written in English is worth a damn...

He spoke three languages: Magyar, French, and German. But not English.

Gotta love tenure.

They can't. That would mean they actually use the facts and that would lead to more gun ownership!
