    DISCLAIMER:
All & any of the following comments are based on experience with a large (300+ gallon) commercial unit. It had heat, re-circulation & filters. YMMV.
We used "simple Green" highly diluted (foaming issues), we also used a Sodium Bicarb neutralizing bath & a wash/rinse afterwards.
Our purpose was cleaning chemical process "racks", 90% S/S but with some aluminum, delrin, & thermoplastic parts.
Our only problem (other than foam from too little dilution) was that aluminum & alloy parts tended to get etched, originally smooth polished parts became almost stippled.
Other them that they were great, the really got down in crevices & tubes we couldn't have cleaned any other way.
