US Senate Bill 54 would make it a federal crime to violate any state gun law where you reside. Which means if you violated a gun law in your state, you would now become a "prohibited person" and not be allowed to own or buy guns in the entire country.

This bill targets people who are prohibited by ANY state law from possessing a PARTICULAR firearm. So under S-54, a NY resident transferring a gun banned by Cuomo automagically commits a federal crime, and could face 10 years in prison.

Here is the link to the GOA story and site to send a letter to your Senators opposing the bill

This is an extremely dangerous bill. It turns state-law misdemeanors into federal felonies.
