VCDL-oppose Garland nomination
From VCDL:
From VCDL:
President Obama’s Supreme Court pick, Judge Merrick Garland, has had chances to rule on gun laws in the past and we know that he is no friend of gun owners.
President Obama calls Garland a “moderate." But as Board member Dennis O’Connor pointed out to me today, when it comes to interpreting the law of the land, we do NOT want a moderate! We want somebody that stands with the Constitution 100%, not just 50%.
Barry Goldwater once noted that when it comes to liberty, extremism is no vice. We want the next justice to be extreme in his or her support of liberty!
Since both of our illustrious Senators, Kaine and Warner, claim to support the Second Amendment, it’s time to test that contention by sending each a web mail to oppose Judge Garland.

Suggested comment:
Since you have told Virginians that you support the Second Amendment, you should clearly oppose Judge Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court. Judge Garland’s judicial rulings show that he does not believe the People have a right to keep and bear arms, in defiance of the clear wording of the Second Amendment. Someone who cannot comprehend something as basic as the wording of the Second Amendment is not qualified to be a judge on the Supreme Court of the United States.
Please let me know if you are going to oppose Judge Garland’s nomination.
