VCDL-VA not in top 100 dangerouss cities

Gun-friendly Virginia does not have a single city in the top 100 most dangerous cities in U.S.
    **************************************************

Well, well, well. So good, old, pro-gun Virginia doesn’t have ANY cities listed in the top-100 most dangerous cities in the U.S. in 2015. Well, then, what about 2014? None. Nor are any Virginia cities listed in 2013. Nor in 2012, which is as far back as this seems to go.

But, let’s take a look at the gun-control poster-boy states of NJ, NY, MD, IL, CA, and DC:

Number of cities in the top 100 most dangerous U.S. cities in 2015:

NJ - 6 (has the number 1 most dangerous city on the list)
    NY - 6
    MD - 2
    IL - 4
CA - 8 (has the number 5 most dangerous city on the list)
DC - 1 (is the 29th most dangerous city on the list)
    VA - ZERO

Number of cities in the top 100 most dangerous U.S. cities in 2014:

NJ - 6 (has the number 3 most dangerous city on the list)
    NY - 4
    MD - 2
IL - 5 (including the number 1 most dangerous city on the list)
CA - 10 (has the number 9 most dangerous city on the list)
DC - 1 (is the 46th most dangerous city on the list)
    VA - ZERO

Number of cities in the top 100 most dangerous U.S. cities in 2013:

NJ - 6 (has the number 7 most dangerous city on the list)
NY - 4 (had the number 9 most dangerous city on the list)
    MD - 2
IL - 7 (including the number 1 most dangerous city on the list)
    CA - 6
DC - 1 (is the 46th most dangerous city on the list)
    VA - ZERO

Number of cities in the top 100 most dangerous U.S. cities in 2012:

NJ - 7 (has the numbers 5 and 9 most dangerous city on the list)
NY - 8 (had the number 9 most dangerous city on the list)
    MD - 2
IL - 7 (including the number 1 most dangerous city on the list)
    CA - 7DC
DC - 1 (is the 40th most dangerous city on the list)
    VA - ZERO

    Good find.

The pols in NY, MD, IL, NJ all will swear up and down that their illegal guns come from VA.

If so, nobody ever points out how odd it is that so relatively little gun crime occurs where those guns originate. Must be some kind of conspiracy. :sarcasm:

Or they just sell "bad" guns to outsiders and keep the "good" guns for themselves. Yeah, that's the ticket.

    Good info.

thanks Jim. too early to post without more coffee. tried to edit the title-too late.

I got this ina VCDL email.

I saw "100 states" and thought Obama had something to do w/it. :)

Is VCDL's email list worth subscribing to?

Terry McAuliffe is very good political friends with the Clintons. He's gonna be pushing for more control in VA like nobody's business and the entire Dem apparatus will be working on it -- especially since it's NRA's home turf. Nailing VA down would be a feather in their cap.

I would also like to see the top 100 rudest cities. I'm going to guess that Virginia doesn't have any that make that list either (An armed society is a polite society.)

I would speculate that NYC, Balto., DC, Philly, Chicago, LA, Oakland, and the better part of NJ would be shoo-ins.

That reminds me of the terrified D.C. journalist who breathlessly announced that, if Virginia adopted Shall Issue, she would be afraid to cross the Potomac.

Anyone have a link to that?
