Well, the wife is on board with getting herself set up ASAP. So, thats a little good news out of this whole election disaster.
She is super tiny (5' ish tall) so I have some ideas for her rifle and pistol wise but I am open to suggestions.
Rifle: Midwest Industries Tactical Response AR 5.56 Pistol. This is a solid build from a great company, nice and light and should be ok for her to handle. She has handled my various SBR's which are 11.5" guns and seemed to be able to handle them just fine.
Optic: We need to go out and let her look through some and then go from there. Most likely a red dot, Aimpoint or Holosun if she balks at the Aimpoint price. Maybe I can finagle a new aimpoint for myself and give her my old Aimpoint H-1.
Pistol: This is the hard one because she has such small hands. I want to take her out and have her hold as many as possible and then go someplace where she can shoot as many different ones as possible. She has already handled my Glock 19 and she can barely reach the trigger so a Glock 48 or something similar might be a good option depending on how her hands fit other guns. Maybe CZ or M&P? I have zero band loyalty even though I carry a G19/G43 so anything and everything quality is an option.
So whats on everyone's short list?
I just ordered some more AR Mags and a couple pistol braces.
