Anyone know what a VZ 24 in very good condition with a very clear proof of King Michael on the receiver might be worth? I don't have a picture of it as it belongs to someone who lives over a hundred miles from me, but I have seen the rifle. It has ZBROJOVKA VRN,A.S.VZ.24 on the side of the reciever. I believe it was made in 1925 in Czechoslovakia under a Romanian contract.

Correction on the date. It would have been made sometime between 1940 and 1941.

IIRC, on the left side of the receiver (or barrel) there should be a series of symbols like "E <lion> xx" where "xx" is a 2-digit number. The "xx" is supposedly the year of manufacture (or acceptance, or proof).

King Michael crests are very hard to come by, most were scrubbed. I'd say if it were in very good condition and all matching i'd have no problem dumping $350+
