W&C Permit Renewal Notice from MSP LD

Interestingly, I just got a verbose, informative email from the MSP Licensing Division. They were reminding me that I’m 90 days out from my permit’s expiration date, mentioned by when I need to submit my paid renewal application, and provided contact info if I had any questions.

Last time around, it was totally on me to remember and act. Anyone else get such a notice? It was remarkably customer friendly/useful. How about that.

It only works if you were issued new or renewed though the portal

I got the same notice at 10pm tonight. First time eva.

Yeah I got one as well. I sent them back a photo of the Consitution and told them that's the only permit I needed.

I got the emai as well. Not a whole lot of renewal training options as far as I can tell. I booked one with Cindy's a few weeks out. I would love to see the elimination of renewals or at least pushing out the time frame. I'm not even going to wish for pipe dream of constitutional carry in this state.

They seem to be taking a page out of the PA manual. My PA permit was expiring recently and I got a notice. A few of us in the Bedford co PA office waiting to renew noted that MD had not done that. One guy was turned away because his MD was already expired.
