Recently acquired this one. Walther P5 (9mm). Pretty cool design and a direct descendant of the P38. Very interesting pivoting firing pin safety system. Decocker and slide release function off of the same control. Had to get used to the left side ejection port.

    7 months late...I know

I finally found one of these for myself and brought it home this week (thanks United)

Hopefully I will get it to the range next week. I have been scouring the web for extra mags and other accessories.

Earl's Repair Service may have magazines. They are an authorized parts and repair center for Walther. I don't use aftermarket mags, but Joe's Pawn in Albertville Alabama had some on gunbroker.com for $40 each. Just Google them. I bought a German thumb-snap leather holster off of Ebay. Very high quality for $20. The gun has good service pistol accuracy and has functioned at 100% with the 5 different types of ammo it's been fed. Enjoy it.

    Thanks, I'll try Joe's.
I did order 2 promags. 1 would seat and allow dummy rds to cycle, the 2nd would not seat.
Bought an original mag on Ebay earlier tonight. I had to bite the pillow when I hit the "Buy" button. Very uncomfortable, like the back seat of a VW. But, I will have another mag in hand in a few days.
The pistol came with a P1 mag release. I could swap it out and run P1 mags.
