Like you, DeHerdershond, I also think it's ok, with an approving ding ding, to have booze while carrying.

In the same way I think if you're free to walk the streets, you should be free to carry a gun.

I'm against texting while driving laws, and drunk driving laws, since they already exist as reckless driving.

If you have a snootful, and crash your car, or negligently shoot, you go to jail.

But freedom is a dangerous thing.

And yes, I know you do NOT agree with boozing and carrying

Perhaps go to the Introductions forum, and post up, so we can know you better:

I imagine jr88 incredulously asking this question loudly, eyes wide open.
"And you say this is a family place?!"
Baulks and gawks John Lithgow style.

I've got two tats...guess I can't go into any more family establishments, parks, sensitive areas.
yeah but you showed me where yours are located :P

And unless you follow him out to his car, how do you know he’s driving home? Plenty of people will drive to the bar and either have a friend drive them home or take an Uber. Are you the bar police now?

Doesn't mention being intoxicated; just states "under the influence of"...

One sip of an alcoholic beverage or one "hit" on a joint = "under the influence of".
In that "Organized Religons Usefulness" thread, some folks may may admonish you that you're.....

Freedom is not as popular around these here as you would think, unfortunately. Of course we are free, as free as we are allowed to be. Lol.

Really? That would be a Karen move. You have 0 control over someone else - trying to establish control is exactly what makes Karen a Karen.
It's only a Karen move if he is wearing a dress, otherwise it's a Ken move.

There is already a law stating what constitutes being intoxicated. Anything .08 or higher
I'm not going to rehash this argument, and while yes, the Transportation article defines what intoxicated is, the Public Safety article (Where the carry statute is), does not. Nor does it refer to the definition in the Transportation Article.

    Here endeth the lesson.
