    I just saw that on the news as well. I can't remember his name but the senator, a dem no less, was extremely opposed to the "scarlet letter" bill.

    Yes of course it does. If every other amendment in the constitution guarantees an individual right, doesn't logic suggest that the 2nd amendment is also an individual right?

    The notion the founders would have included a collective right to bear arms is absurd, why would an army need a consitutional amendment to bear arms? They are an army.

    The 2nd amendment is an individual right because the founders understood that man has only those rights he can defend.
