I own a vangaurd series 2. been sitting in the safe since day one with no scope. I bought it at targetmaster and had the guys order a nice trijicon accupoint 5-20 green mildot. problem is that scope was on intergalactic backorder for months. So now having pondered the idea for awhile, a thousand dollars is alot to put on a rifle i will rarely hunt with. As far as i know this gun will take the same bases as a 700 rem. does anyone out there have a good reliable base/ring/scope set up that didnt totally break the bank mounted on a magnum rifle. i'd like a good field of view with a zoom level in the teens and i love mil-dots with reticle. Maybe i'm asking alot for an affordable set-up.
