I am just want to ask what .22 ammo grain most people prefer using on their firearm?

I just started on .22 shooting not too long ago and want to ask does it matter the different grain used between Pistol and Rifle?

I had tried from 29 grain CB round to standard 40 Grain round and I did not see much different unless shoot far distance that you need to adjust the scope. I am just target shooting and not hunting.

Any advantage or not between 36, 38 or 40 grain .22 ammo?
I read that 38 grain shoot furthest and 60 grain need 1/9 twist barrel to stabilize it.

    Any opinion on the subject?

    Thanks for you time :)

Some guns shoot a type of ammo better than others at different distances. The best thing is for you to experiment and find the right match for your gun/distance/ammo.
The only thing I have consistently seen or heard is that 60 grain subsonics are difficult to shoot well from most guns.

It would help to gather suggestions if you stated which .22 firearms you are shooting.
