Yea, right... I'll wait on that one.

I'd guess MD would rather figure out a way to kill their gun law so no one can carry in MD. They will look for the loophole in the law, if they can. MD and CA.

I'm playing along with the forum now, but I'll see what happens by this time next year.

If you already have Utah or FL, why would you get MD?

This is what I expect...there can't be reciprocity if there is no permit available...

From the Utah BCI website, " If you reside in a state that recognizes the validity of the Utah CFP or has reciprocity with Utah, you must obtain a CFP or CCW from your home state and submit a copy of it with your application for a Utah permit."

Unless the rules change for Utah non-resident permits, we will be required to obtain a Maryland permit. Or, am I completely off the mark?

I still expect us to be targeted by the state. This is why I would never get MD cc even if they issued, if there was reciprocity. They don't need to be right to jam you up and cost you everything you have in court cost and lawyer fees.

Utah, I read somewhere Utah has done over 1.2 million non resident CCW permits in 2015 and 2016 combined.. that's a nice little chunk of change for them

Remember, if MD is forced to grant reciprocity to UT, the UT requirement to have a home state permit before UT issues may be enforced.

    Just something to think about.

Maybe another state's permit might be a good idea.

When this likely to take effect if it does pass? I have my Utah but was planning on getting my NH as well to cover PA since they dropped Utah for reciprocity.
