I know at the height of this gun talk it was basically a dollar a round and now it's calmed down a little.

A buddy of mine has the ability to get it for basically .49 cents a round and I believe it's brass cased.

Depends where you get it. If you get lucky enough to find it in stock retail then it's not crazily priced. I got 200 rounds from bass bro for 50 cents a piece last week. On the forums it is still anywhere from 70 cents to over a dollar.

The bottom has totally dropped out of the .223/5.56 ammo market, because the buyers have all been saturated - nobody wants any more ammo.

You would be lucky to get $200 for a 1K case of M193 or M855, now.

But if someone is desperate to sell, I'll make you a sweetheart deal and give you $220.... maybe even $250 for a case, just because I'm a nice guy.

Don't listen to this guy, you can probably still find someone who would pay $260 or even $265 if you're really lucky! Since I'm a MUCH nicer guy, I'll go ahead and give you $265 for the case.

Cabela's had .50/rnd today online per my earlier post.

Gunbroker sale prices are usually .70/rnd and up, usually 650-800/case of 1,000 depending on day/time

IF it's in stock, online it's upwards of 75cents a round....I keep about 15 websites up and check them daily for ammo.....34 cents was the cheapest I bought (4 weeks ago), now 50 cents seems to be the cheapest, unless you can catch Cabela's, Bass Pro or Walmart.

Cheapest I've paid for it is .34/rd, and the most I've paid is .50/rd ... I refuse to give in and pay anything more right now.

gun shows are still going for.80 - $1.50 per round. I picked up some Wolf .223 steel for $17 for 20 for a buddy. Nothing else under $21 per box.
