That is one of the salt stock years, and it has the short tang. I paid $800 for a 30" version of the same gun, same year. They're not as valuable as the older, long tang versions. Since they have fixed chokes, what is this shotgun choked at? Also, any rust along the edges of the wood? Have you checked the metal under all of the wood? Also, what grade is it?
Agree with others here, more details would help but starting around $800 and go up from there. And if it’s a salt gun, walk away or check Art’s gunsmithing for more info.
I saw a decent one at the Baltimore arms show in 20 ga in pretty nice shape and in a Browning case for $1450. Walked past, and just a few minutes later went back to see if I could haggle it down. Lo, and behold, it just sold for $1250. Could'a kicked myself. FYI....look 'em over really well. That time frame was when Browning had stocked some in salt wood. The 20 ga I saw was a 1962...pre salt.
Yesiree!! You got that right. I actually asked about the shotgun when I originally passed it, but the attendee at the table was just watching for the actual vendor. So I just walked down the aisle and came back....10 minutes maybe. Shoom!!! Gone!
