    Someone"lightened" it up to build more speed/shorten lock time a la JP Enterprises.

    I did that three years ago for my buddy, can't believe he is sold it. I'm taking an online gunsmithing course.

    That hammer has been lightened as part of a YouTube trigger job!
    It will work fine for most ammunition but if you are going to fire 5.56 NATO ammo, the primers are a little harder and may not fire with this hammer.
    Take a good look at the springs. Some of the videos tell you to cut or bend one or both.

    I toured the gun shops in my area looking to do some volunteer gunsmithing and one guy told me they don't really need one anymore since YouTube has everything now. Wonder how good the youtube is with a full disassembly of a 30-30.
