i am in washco, squirrels last year had something wrong, tails fell off when picking up the dead ones, skin came off of the only tail that did not break off. survivors are tiny.
i intended to eat the ones i killed, after killing a lot of squirrels over decades, i have never seen this phenom before. they went into the field for the buzzards
My brother in law, when he kills squirrels opens up the rumin and picks out the remainder of the nuts.
Then he sprinkles them on top of the pot pie while baking.
While muzzleloader deer hunting last week in SW Garrett Co. near the WV line. I did not see the usual amount that I normally see. On the light side for sure. We have both grey and red fox squirrels. The reds are bigger in size than the greys.
