Shaky head. I’m honestly not sure what brand it is, and it’s not one I prefer. It was really windy and the smaller ones that I like to use were making it too hard to feel bottom. Luckily I have a few of these kicking around in the tackle box and they worked.Nice. What is that jig head?

One of my best friends bought a fishing kayak to kill some time while in between jobs. The first thing I told him was buy a good life vest and never take it off while on the water. On his second trip out in 55 degree water he leaned over too far and flipped. It took him a little while but he made it to shore. When I told him about the vest he joked and said he was a good swimmer and it was silly. The first thing he did when he got back to sure was to call me and thank me for saving his life. He said there was no way he could have made it to shore with all of his clothes and boots on and in cold water.Bu but they are unsinkable.
Says the guy who was on the bay reaching for something in the center storage area of my Ocean Kayak Trident when an ass in a go fast boat flipped me over. The yak didn't sink sink but it was floating like a telephone pole and I had to hang on to it until the wind and waves blew me the lee shore.
I do a damn good recon before I ever open that hatch on the water from then on.
How do you cook those things? I've drowned em in butter and lemon but damn the mineral aftertaste of fresh water fish kills me.I had a successful stocked trout season notching 53 of them. I may go out again after my hernia heals up.
That’s a good return on a $5 trout stamp!I had a successful stocked trout season notching 53 of them. I may go out again after my hernia heals up.
Being from MoCo, I always preferred launching from Leesylvania State Park in Va. It's just across the river from Mattawoman. Plenty of parking and you can buy yearly passes there.Anyone have intel on Slavins boat launch on Mattawoman? Does that trailer parking lot usually fill up?
Honestly I don't eat them. I don't have the patience for all those bones but Wifey will pick through them like a surgeon. That said, a bit of old bay and a bit of lemon juice and into the toaster oven they go.How do you cook those things? Someone said you had to have a VA license to use VA ramps this year...you hear anything about that?Being from MoCo, I always preferred launching from Leesylvania State Park in Va. It's just across the river from Mattawoman. Plenty of parking and you can buy yearly passes there.
