When we bought a place in Deep Creek many winters ago it did not take me long to learn winter hangs around until after Memorial Day. Of course we had a relatively mild winter and a little snow now isn't a big deal, but we need warm days for the robins to get to nesting! Only then will spring have arrived!

Paging JoppaJ: :secret: Several robin pairs are scoping out nesting sites around our house. It could be a good spring for blue eggs... :fingerscrossed:

    Stay tuned... ;)

I just finished hauling out the generator and hooked it up. That's always a fun chore in the dark. Let there be light, cable tv and Internet -> basic and important necessities...

Good luck with this next round of storms. I hear it's only supposed to be 40 on Saturday and that's for the Baltimore area. I wonder if you will break above freezing there.

    Stay warm and stay safe.

Weather channel is calling for up to 13" of snow down in Randolph County, WV where my home is at starting tonight 4/7 through Saturday. Low's are supposed to be in the single digits Saturday night. Hopefully this is winter's last gasp.

Weather forecaster got it wrong for last night, thank goodness, woke to about an inch of snow, and with the sun poking in and out from behind the clouds it's pretty much gone.
Here's to hoping the white stuff is done until Christmas.

We've got winds at 30 mph and about 11-12 inches of snow on the ground and it doesn't look like it's going to stop any time soon.

Oh wait, that was a flash back from a few months ago. :D
