Wire whip for KitchenAid 5-quart mixers

This was purchased as a gift to replace the wire whip attachment which had rusted on one of our kids' mixers. Unfortunately I bought the wrong one, this one is too large, and by the time it was gifted, it was too late to return it.

I don't know enough about them to know whether this would fit all KitchenAid 5-quart mixers, so be guided by the compatible mixer models shown on the box.

KitchenAid makes several different models of their stand mixers. They have the professional models and they have the regular line of consumer models that are smaller and so are the attachments. I have a professional model with the bowl lift. That whip in the picture fits the model that I have. You would need the model number off of the plate on the mixer to get the right one. They make five quart mixers in both of their product lines and they are not compatible. There's a plate or a metallic label on the back or the underside of the mixer depending on the model.
