1st shot: Fathers's Ruger Standard .22lr, now it is mine
1st owned: Ruger Security Six 6" stainless .357 Magnum, still own it today and I am starting to cast bullets to reload for it
Mod 41 S&W and Colt Gold Cup 1911, purchased the first semester that I didn't have to pay college tuition for my son.
Still have the Mod 41 but foolishly let the Gold Cup go.

First handgun shot was a Browning 22 pistol. The first handgun I bought was a Colt Trooper 375 6" revolver. Still got it and it is very accurate. With hot hand loads I use to be able to easily hit a silhouette target at a 100 yds. Now I am only good out to 50 yds.
S&W M&P 40
Pros: Love the gun. Has a great feel in the hand not too bad on the recoil and pretty darn accurate.
Cons: Trigger sucks (fixable) and Sights are a little weird and take some getting used to (IMO)
First handgun was a Presentation High Standard Match Competition Target .22 Pistol. I got it through the old NRA purchase program, from the Letterkenny Arsenal. A beautiful chromed piece in a presentation box. Paid $20 as I can recall. Remember those NRA purchase (give away) days?
Dan Wesson Mod 14 .357 Magnum sold a few years later when I was raising money to buy a $700 Browning Citori (does the Citori price give ya a clue how long ago THAT was? )
First handgun fired, glock 23. First handgun purchased, HK USP 45, love how it fits my hand, love how it shoots, love that it will last me the rest of my life.
