All things 'zombie' is so popular now, I just noticed REI (yep, the outdoors sports retailer) is getting in on the act. Only a few seats left, event starts at 7pm on 28 Oct 2016; undecided if we'll attend, it could be fun.

The write up promises it will be more broad than just surviving zombies.

After hurricane Matthew hits us, I think we'll already have a few more lessons under our belt.

If anyone is going, let me know, maybe we'll try to do something 'extra'

Pretty much. We've attended a couple of their other classes in the past (stuff like land navigation/GPS, etc), most classes are free, but some do cost money; this zombie one is free. Thankfully they don't try to sell anything, they do it the little back room where they have their 'members only' annual clearance sales.

I think its a fun way to get folks thinking about preparedness. From the agenda, looks like it will be a real talk on preparedness, but with zombie flavor for humor. Maybe they will throw in something about weapons and selfdefense; pretty cool notion for REI to be doing for us unwashed masses.
