Will single shot ar15 lowers be banned?

Like the ones they use for pinning the single shot 50cal upper to?

Is there a way to see only a summary of threads posted in or subscribed to?

I know I can see all of my posts by going through my user info. I am asking because it would be convenient to be able to have them listed only one time in order of the latest post so I don't have to go back through several pages to notice activity that I may want to follow up on. Thanks...

      7 day waiting period

2010 Maryland Code PUBLIC SAFETY TITLE 5 - FIREARMS Subtitle 1 - Regulated Firearms Section 5-123 - Time for licensee to complete transactions. § 5-123. Time for licensee to complete transactions. (a) Seven-day waiting period.- A licensee may not sell, rent, or transfer a regulated...

I thought it was a bad idea to sue

the MSP over the extended wait times. I thought it would be a PR nightmare and would hurt our cause and people just needed to be patient. Or have times changed?

When did the MSP get the power to interpret Md's firearm laws?

Many people are saying they want a ruling from MSP for this or that before they will do something. When did the MSP get this authority? Sounds like a police state or at least a police state mentality by a lot of people.:sad20:

Frames or receivers are NOT copies of the enumerated assault weapons

I don't believe that frames or receivers are 'weapons' by their lack of being able to expel a projectile.... But for arguments sake let's say they are. They still are not regulated firearms under the 'assault weapons' section since they are only similar in appearance BUT not in internal...

      (2) “COPYCAT WEAPON” DOES NOT INCLUDE AN ASSAULT LONG GUN OR AN ASSAULT PISTOL.

Why was this put in the bill and what exactly does it mean - how is it applied? Please help me wrap my head around this. Could one argue that copies by other manufacturers of the specifically listed assault weapons are no longer copies? Or did they put it in there so copies of the specifically...

The biggest loophole they missed in sb281

The criminal compliance loophole. Like the current criminals are going to go ahead and start following these new laws.:lol2:

Who will transfer an AR10 lower as cash and carry?

Please post here or IM me with their name and contact info if you have it? All responses are welcome. I am in Carroll County so I would prefer someone in Carroll but would also like to know about dealers in Baltimore, Frederick, Howard, or western Harford counties. Thanks. Note - please...

How do dealers get around the 30 day NICS transfer requirement

...when the state is taking longer than 30 days to complete the 77r? Are they just having the purchaser fill out the 4473 after the 77r comes back and putting the same certification date in section A and recertification date in section c? The 4473 states: "For purposes of this form, contacts...

Does anyone have any official documents from MSP regarding NOT transferring a firearm

We have all heard and read all the stories that this or that dealer got a letter from the MSP telling them NOT to transfer the firearm until they get the 77r back. Does anyone have a copy of any of those supposed letters? If so please post any official correspondence.
    12. Ab_Normal

Does this mean all the 77r's are to be destroyed?

      I'm confused by the legalese.:o

It just hit me...If we had common sense voting laws we wouldn't be in this mess.

Crazies can't vote. Voters would have to be educated on the constitution in an 8 hr class. Pay a fee to vote. Show picture ID to vote. Etc.. Yes this post is partially in jest but I think there are some parallels that have merit.

Links to laws concerning NICS and NTN# requirements

I know this topic has been beat to death regarding what people think so here is a link to what the federal law actually is. Here is a link to what the Md. laws are. Note: put SUBTITLE 1. REGULATED FIREARMS in the search box in the upper left hand corner. Once you get into one of the sections...

What is the latest revision level of Md. form 77R?

It should be in the lower left hand corner. Thanks.

Outstanding legal paper on our nation being a REPUBLIC and not a democracy

Article It is all good but this is one of the best: Republic. That form of government in which the powers of sovereignty are vested in the people and are exercised by the people, either directly, or through representatives chosen by the people, to whome those powers are specially...

Legal input - Class action suit against MSP for failure to meet 7 day deadline.

There is definitely standing since the purchaser pays them a $10 processing fee to complete the background check in 7 days. Any legal experts have any input or would be willing to take the case? I'm sure most recent purchasers would be willing to let the lawyers have the $10 if they could get...

Say I do transfer at the MSP barracks and the paperwork doesn't come back in 7 days,

can I legally transfer the firearm to the prospective purchaser since Md. law says it can be done on the 8th day? There is no need for a NICS # since it is not from a FFL.

MSP is blowing smoke about the waiting period. 7 day wait meets the feds requirements

Md FFL's may release a firearm after 7days if there is no response from the MSP. Federal law says that the gun can be released after 3 days with or without a NICS #. BUT the FFL has to follow both Md and federal law and Md law requires a 7 day wait. Read it yourself: Q: If a State is...
