No tinfoil hat, just plain common sense....
Not only are you telling the .gov what you have, but what better way to give a shopping list to your friendly neighborhood thief. Any smart thief with a bit of good detective work can figure out where you live and poof bye bye guns.
So no, its no tin hat, it just not being irresposible.

I concur with not advertising what guns I owned if I did own any, But don't see how any thief can figure out my street address....not that I want them to...just saying....

    Dundalk, Hon!
I'll tell you the ones I wish I still had and give myself a really good reason to go bang my head against the wall. We won't get into why I sold them. I'd give a lot to get them back.

70 Series Colt's Combat Commander, .45 ACP, satin nickle, Pachmayr wrap-around grips.

Uberti repro Colt's "Wells Fargo" Pocket Model with a Kirst cartridge converter.

Uberti repro Colt's Navy Model of 1851, civilian model with silver-plated trigger guard and grip frame.

Ruger Old Army in brushed stainless steel.

Remington New Army cartridge conversion in .44 Colt.

Well Bart, it's nice to finally put a face to the name!
Me? I don't know anything about guns, that's why I hang out here.

Yeah right. In reality you are probably the board C&R semi auto mouse/pocket/vest gun resident expert.
Some of us have our specialties or what we know more about and whenever anyone asks about old semi auto vest or pocket guns I know to send them your direction in a thread for a good answer!:)

It was around 1994 when the Clinton Gun Ban(AWB) passed, I was in high school and it made me realize collecting weapons is a much better investment than stamps, comic books, or baseball cards.
Just NEVER, NEVER take your collection of weapons on a boat even for a day!
I got sea sick and puked on it then the stupid boat sank and took my collection with it.:mad54:
It was a very bad day.:sad20:

I missed one! I had an Astra Cub 22short that was a neat gun very small and very reliable. Much more reliable than the Beretta 21a.

Not worried about thieves...it is Doug Gansler, the MSP, and Joe Curran's son-in-law who worry me.

Shark ate my boat load of guns when I moved from the Eastern Shore. Lost the rifle while swimming, very sad day.

I'm going to plead the 5th on this one. It can't end well for me. If my wife reads it, she will divorce me. If the MSP reads it they will come to my house, If the Feds read it, the will put me on the secret list. If anyone else reads it they will probably try to sell me another gun. :D

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
    Aboard this tiny ship.

The mate was a mighty sailing man,
    The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour.

    The weather started getting rough,
    The tiny ship was tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The minnow would be lost, the minnow would be lost.:innocent0
