    Wait until you try to hunt big game on FEDERAL land, you know, OUR land, out west.

    Talk about Res/ NonRes disparity!
    It is because of our FEDERAL system that wildlife is managed at the state level.

    I believe firmly in local management of local habitat/populations. Not sure I can say that for federal ownership of public lands.

    (To be clear, what I'm saying is that I'm okay with each state's fish & game agency, funded by license sales, giving preference to their residents who are democratically closest to the management decisions. As much as I think there is a fundamental right to hunt & fish, I also respect residents of the various states choosing to do things their own way.)
