I have a bench top disk sander to give away. 12” size. The miter gauge is broken. The slider part that runs in the table slot is there but the top part of the gauge is missing. Central machinery brand (Chinese). Pickup in Clinton, MD.

nice Karma... I would be all over this if I could find the space in my little shop... unfortunately, I am out of room
I see a shaper in the background
Dibs. PM sent. See you Saturday.
Man I'm glad you grabbed it. I was about to convince myself I needed it just so I could come down as see the shaper!
Thanks for the pictures, and nice looking shop. Reminds me of my Uncle's basement shop from years ago. I remember helping him get is Mill-Rite Mill moved into his basement with a come-a-long. We were all lucky we didn't kill ourselves!
I have been collecting machine tools for a hobby shop for a few years, (and I did manage to aquire all of my Uncles tools when he passed away last year) and it's all crammed into my garage with no place to work, but I hope to build a backyard workshop in the not too distant future. I have had a 18"-24" shaper on my wish list, but every time I find something I want, it's on the other side of the country. I wouldn't mind making the trip to get it, but know for certain that I better have a place to put it when I get back or SWMBO will not be happy if she has to park outside in the winter!
I am sure it was exciting getting the Mill-Right moved. I have a small bridge crain setup over my basement stairwell and a ramp to go over the steps. Once I place a machine on the ramp I use a come along to slowly slide it down.
Your 18-24” shaper is gonna be heavy. My 12” Sheldon is a mere 1600lb. When you get your shop built let me know. I know of a vintage machine tool gold mine in the Pasadena area.
I have a bunch of old machines that are too big for the basement shop sitting greased up and under tarps in my backyard for a future shop. I am not sure when that will happen though.
It seems like we might need a machine tool thread some time
